Girls are no less and Aamir Khan’s power packed ‘Dangal’ trailer proves the point

A wrestler who couldn’t win a gold for his country hopes that his son will do what he couldn’t. But as luck would have it, he is blessed with four girls. Though he showers all his fatherly love on them but he is determined only a boy can fulfill his dreams. All that changed, when he saw his daughters beat up two guys in their village because they abused them. And then began the journey of this father giving his heart and soul to train his daughters to become world-class wrestlers.

Well, that’s what the trailer of Aamir Khan-starrer “Dangal” is all about. The superstar plays Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trains his daughters Geeta and Babita, essayed by Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra, to become award-winning wrestlers. The two minute twenty two second trailer is packed with hear-touching dialogues.

In one scene he says “Main hamesha ye soch kar rota raha ki chora hota toh kushti mein gold lata. Par yo baat meri samajh mein na aaie ki gold toh gold hota hai, chora lave ya chori.” There is another scene where he says “Bas ek baat hamesha yaad rakhna beta, silver jeeti toh aaj nain toh kal log tanne bhul jawenge, par gold jeeti toh misaal ban jawegi. Aur misaale di jaati hain beta, bhuli nain jati.” You will want to stand up applaud each and every dialogue you hear.

What else? Mr. Perfectionist has left no-stone-unturned to give an excellent performance yet again. Joining him is Sakshi Tanwar, who plays his wife, in giving a marvellous performance. And debutantes Sana and Sanya are no less.

This movie proves that sometimes even a father underestimates his girl child, but with time they realise they are no less than boys.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, “Dangal” will hit the screens on December 23.
