Karan Johar’s directorial debut “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” has clocked in 18 years of its existence in celluloid. The director says the film will always remain close to his heart.
He shared a pic of the movie’s poster on his Twitter handle and wrote: #18YearsOfKuchKuchHotaHai …. the film that will always remain close to my heart……@iamsrk and Adi made my cinema dream come true….
“Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji in lead roles. It was the story of love, friendship and heartbreak and was one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
At a recent film festival, talking about the movie, Karan said it is a very unusually silly theme and he wonders how he wrote it and how did these thoughts came to his mind while writing it.
Well he can’t go back and change it now and nobody can change the fact that there are so many out there who are still in awe of the movie. No matter how many times you watch it, it always leaves us teary-eyed.
So a big thank you to KJo for giving us “Rahul naam toh suna hi hoga” and a friendship to remember for a lifetime. And congratulations.
